Here we will update you with the latest in what's going on in the dental world and at Burridge Dental Practice

March 2019

This month, we've been raising awareness for both No Smoking Day and World Oral Health Day, via our Facebook page and in practice.

No Smoking Day

This year, No Smoking Day was on the 13th of March and prior to this, we shared helpful tips and information with our patients.

Did you know that each year, thousands of people quit smoking successfully? If this is something you'd like to do for good, then you can get further support and your very own free Personal Quit Plan at www.nhs.uk/smokefree

There has been lots of talk about E-cigarettes in the media over the past couple of years, but even though they have helped thousands of people in the UK, successfully quit smoking, 44% of smokers either wrongly believe vaping is as harmful as smoking or don’t know that vaping poses much lower risks to health.

World Oral Health Day

World Oral Health Day this year fell on the 20th of March and in practice, we've been encouraging patients to do the following 3 simple things:-

•Take good care of your oral health at home

•Eat a healthy diet, particularly one low in sugar, avoid tobacco use and excessive alcohol consumption

•Have a regular dental check-up

If you've not been for a while, why don't you call up and book in for your appointment?
