I have difficulty walking. Do you have access for disabled patients?
Here at Burridge Dental Practice we aim to assist and accommodate all patients including those who are not fully mobile, or have disabilities making transport difficult. Our practice is equipped with disabled facilities including: ground floor surgeries, and a disabled bathroom and toilet. Additionally, there is ample car parking space on-site, helping make the patient experience easy and comfortable.
I’m a very nervous patient and have avoided the dentist for years. What can you do to help?
Burridge Dental Practice recognises that patients may feel anxious or worried about having a dental check-up, and treatment. In fact, studies show that 36% of those who do not see the dentist regularly are often too anxious, or nervous to attend. (British Dental Health Foundation).

Our aim is to make the whole experience as gentle, pain free and comfortable for you as possible. We have a team of highly skilled and qualified practitioners who are trained to help guide nervous patients through entire courses of treatment, no matter how complex they maybe.

We welcome all patients to come in and review the facilities provided as well as meeting the team. The initial consult is an important first step, as it allows you to be able to tell us what your concerns are and what you would like to achieve from your dental visits. The initial visit is often the most difficult part but our promise to you is to make your whole experience as pleasant as possible.

When should my children start coming to the dentist?
As a family dental practice we encourage seeing patients of all ages on a regular basis. We advise that children start being seen at the practice from the age of 6 months onwards. This helps get the children used to the dental practice and ensures any problems can be detected early to avoid the need for invasive dentistry.
If you have young children please feel free to speak to one of our team members and bring them along to the check up with you. Children often respond well when they see their parents or siblings having a dental examination. In fact, children will often find the whole experience positive and entertaining. After all, we have a collection of fun and educational stickers to help them on their way to maintaining a great level of oral health.
